PATOLA SAREES
Patola Sarees are a double ikat woven sari, usually made from silk. The word Patola is the plural form—The sigular is patulu. They were once worn only by royal and the aristocrat. Patola-weaving is a closely guarded family tradition. It can take six months to one year to make one sari.
